7 Steps For Dewy Looking Makeup in the Fall & Winter

Posted by Hoan Nguyen on

Wondering how to keep that glow in the colder months? Here Elizabeth Mott breaks down 7 steps for dewy looking makeup in the fall and winter. It’s that time of year again! The holiday lights are going up, the leaves are changing colors (or your area just totally skipped fall and went straight into winter), and it’s cuffing (AKA cozy) season!

While watching the seasons change is a sight to behold, for a lot of people winter and fall mean uncomfortably dry skin that’s more difficult to work with makeup-wise. That’s why we have quite a few holy grail products to help you look and feel dewy during those cold winter months.

Without further ado, here are our 7 steps for dewy looking makeup in the fall and winter:

1. Exfoliating & Hydrating Face Cleanser

If you haven’t tried Hanalei’s Brightening Papaya Cleanser, you’ve definitely been missing out. Papaya is known to brighten and exfoliate the skin while Hawaiian Noni moisturizes the skin and reduces signs of aging. To use, all you need to do is pour a pea-sized amount of powder onto your hands, add water, and then create a foamy lather!

2. Illuminating Face Primer

Next, grab this face primer from Elizabeth Mott and apply it all over, focusing on areas that tend to get more oily as the day goes on. Thank Me Later’s formulation is ultra-hydrating and makes your makeup go the extra dewy mile.

3. Glittery Eyeshadows

This eye look is as easy as it is stunning! Just apply our Pop! Goes The Shadow eyeshadow in Champagne all over your eyelid, and then take either Toasted, Gunmetal, or Stars At Night (it just depends on your personal preference, really) and dust it into your crease and on your bottom lash line.

4. Pinched Pink Cheeks

We know you may have chronically rosy cheeks during the cooler months, but blush always pulls a look together! Use Soft Pink from Show Me Your Cheeks over your cheeks to look extra dolled up.

5. Luminous Bronzer

Next, grab Luminous from Whatup Beaches bronzer and apply it below your cheeks, forehead, jawline, and sides of your nose. A lot of people think bronzer should only be used during the spring and summer, but why wouldn’t you want to warm up your dewy look in the fall and winter?

6. Glowing Highlighter

In my personal opinion, a highlight is always the star of the show when you’re going the extra mile to get glammed up! This is why Show Me Your Glow highlighter is perfect for this dewy look. Just apply it to the apples of your cheeks, button of your nose, middle of your forehead and chin!

7. Nude Lip with Clear Lip Treatment

Last but not least, you’ll want to grab this iconic duo: Nudist from Color is Bae liquid lipstick and Clear from Hanalei’s Lip Treatment line. Color is Bae is a long lasting liquid lipstick, and Nudist is the perfect everyday color. When you top it off with the Clear Lip Treatment, you’re giving your lips that extra boost of hydration and also that glossy sheen that’s so 2019.
