Born Beautiful story @beachlovepeace

Tell us about yourself in 50 words or less. We want to know one or two things that you'd want someone to know about you?

Hello! My name is Alaina Case, creator of travel & style blog – Beach Love Peace, and Coordinator of Volunteer Services of Shepherd Center. Born in Hawaii and raised in Jamaica, you can say I’m an island girl. Also, working in the healthcare field, you say I'm passionate about the lives of others. I just want to be the best me I can be, while encouraging others to be their best self as well.

What are you most grateful for in life?

I'm most grateful for my family.

Who do you find beautiful – and what makes them beautiful to you?

I find my mother beautiful because she is beautiful on the inside and out. Her compassion and selflessness motivates me to be a better person daily.

Was there ever a time that you felt ugly? What happened and how did you react?

Through bad relationships at times I lost myself. I would lock myself in my house, constantly overthink everything and just be so hard on myself - about everything. With the help of my family and friends I snapped out of it, remembering and knowing how beautiful, smart and awesome I am.

Based on the time above, when did you realize that you were beautiful?

I always knew I was beautiful, but 2016 is when I really knew it and wouldn't allow others opinions of me to discourage me.

What makes you beautiful?

My personality, my smile, my heart.

How has your idea of beauty changed over the years?

As child I thought beautiful was a physical thing, but as I got older I met people who were beautiful, but their attitude and personality made them ugly.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don't EVER care about what others think of you. As long as you know who you are and what you're capable of, "THEY" don't matter.
