2019 Spring Makeup Look - Fresh & Dewy Tutorial

Posted by Analiese Arle on

As much as we love fall and winter (although, lucky we at Elizabeth Mott live the HI life!) spring is in the air - and boy oh boy are we ready for a trendy Spring makeup look, warmer days, the flowers to bloom? So, when you think of the spring, what are some words that come to mind? Sunny? Dewy, maybe? When we think of springtime, in relation to makeup, the first word that pops to mind is lightweight and natural.

The consensus: springtime makeup means fun, easy, glowy - even glossy - looks along with the ever talked about and ever illusive “no makeup makeup” look. You’re in for a treat today! Sit back, relax, and take notes, people. We’re going to lay out our favorite springtime looks.

Okay, so some of the products you’ll want to grab are: Thank Me Later Face Primer, Show Me Your Cheeks Blush, the Natural Palette, It’s So Big Mascara, and Color Is Bae Lip Crayon. You’re more than welcome to go a little crazy with it or even just use a few of your favorites listed above! You do you, boo boo.

Eye see warmer weather on the horizon

Let’s start with the eyes first (seeing as the eyes are the windows to the soul and all that jazz) take It’s So Big and apply the mascara generously to your lashes, making sure you get that famous BIG look! One of our favorite tricks is to take the mascara brush and place it as the base of your lashes. Wiggle the brush to make the base of your eyelashes fuller and darker. Shimmy and wiggle the brush all the way up for the full effect and BAM! You’ve got the flirtiest of all the lashes. Go ahead and give your spring fling(s) a wink or two 😉.

Since we’re going for a quick and easy daytime look, all we’re doing is mascara on the eyes just to give them a little pop. If you’re feeling extra saucy, go ahead and take Fizz from the Natural Palette and brush it over your eyelid to give your eyes that glossy look and extra umph. Make sure to use eye primer beneath the shadow though! Don’t let your hard work run off.

Brows! We could never forget the brows—they really pull your entire look together and frame your face. Take Queen of the Fill tinted brow gel and brush your brows up until you’re satisfied with them. Creating natural looking, on fleek (are we still using that in 2019?) brows are so simple with Queen of the Fill.

Spring break out the glow!

Next, you’ll want to grab the Thank Me Later Face Primer, apply it alllllll over that glowing skin of yours, and then you have 2 choices: use your favorite tinted moisturizer or just move on to bronzing up your face! With skin like yours Thank Me Later doesn’t have to work very hard!

Bronzing comes next. Go light with the Whatup Beaches bronzing powder. Since this is a natural springtime look, it’s all about the glow! Make sure to brush some bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks, forehead, and jaw. Next, grab Show Me Your Glow and go ham with the highlighter! Apply it to the tops of your cheeks, tip of your nose, middle of your forehead, and chin. Who doesn’t love a dewy goddess?

Coral Blush Elizabeth Mott

After you’re done with the highlighter, grab Show Me Your Cheeks Blush (whichever color your prefer, but we’re partial to Bright Coral for this look) and dust it over your cheeks. If you ever feel like you went a little too overboard with your blush, highlighter, or even bronzer, you can always take your foundation bush and blend some of it away. We’ve all had those moments.

Bae Lip Crayon Elizabeth Mott

Last, but not least, grab Color is Bae Lip Crayon (again, use your favorite color, but for this look we chose Dusty Rose) and apply it liberally to your lips. Dewy lips, dewy cheeks - dewy everything just pulls the looks together!

Dew you love the look?
